AS/RS High Bay Rack
High-Bay Racking: The Core Component of Automated Warehouses
High-bay racking forms the core component of automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
Composed of multi-layer steel structures, these racks typically have a height of ≥10 meters (with AS/RS systems reaching heights of 15-40 meters or even more). They facilitate efficient vertical storage and retrieval of goods through the use of stacker cranes, shuttle cars, and other automated equipment.
Key Features:
- Three-Dimensional Storage:
The height of high-bay racking surpasses traditional limitations, with some ultra-high models
exceeding 40 meters. This design maximizes vertical space utilization, achieving a 3-5 fold
increase compared to conventional storage methods.
- Modular Design:
The beam-and-column structure is modular, allowing for flexible adjustment of layer heights in
75mm increments. This adaptability ensures compatibility with various pallet sizes and storage
needs.
- High Strength and Load Capacity:
High-bay racking boasts impressive load-bearing capabilities. Each level can support a payload of
up to 5000 kg. The uprights are constructed from Q235 steel, and the beam’s bending strength is
≥200 MPa.
High-bay racking systems are designed to optimize storage density and improve operational efficiency in warehouses. By utilizing vertical space, they significantly increase storage capacity within the same footprint. The modular design allows for easy customization and reconfiguration as storage needs evolve. The robust construction ensures the safety and stability of the system, even when handling heavy loads.
